How Trail To Truth works
Trail To Truth turns a one-line theme into a complete, fair-play mystery that a group can solve together in about an hour.
For hosts
- Describe a theme, such as "a poisoning at a 1920s jazz club."
- The AI drafts the case: victim, scenes, 3–5 suspects, clues, and a hidden solution. Review it and edit anything before publishing.
- Share the six-character case code or link. You'll see who has joined, how many attempts they've used, and who solved it.
For investigators
- Join with the code. An account is optional, but with one your score is saved.
- Interview suspects. Your interview history is saved, so you can come back later.
- Use hints if you're stuck. They cost points.
- Accuse with the culprit, the motive, and the method. You have three attempts, and after each one you're told how many of the three parts were right.
Fair play
Every case is checked before it can be published: exactly one culprit, at least two pieces of evidence that point to them, and an alibi for every suspect. Players never receive the solution data in their browser.
